Mouth Functions
The mouth is the first part in the digestive system first of all it physically breaking down food by chewing and it produces a sticky liquid called saliva that makes food softer and slimy so it can slide down your esophagus easily, saliva breaks down carbohydrates chemically. Saliva is produced from the salivary glands.
